TEC 4 US ARMY WWII Cooper Review-January 2, 1997- William Henry "Bill" Ray, 81, of Klondike died Wednesday December 18,in Paris. Funeral services were held at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce, Saturday, December 21, at 2PM with the Rev. G.W. McDowell officiating. Internment was in the Shiloh Cemetery at Klondike. Mr. Ray was born June 20, 1915 in Delta County, a son of Thomas Albert and Betty Brack Ray. He married Mozelle Martin July 21, 1944, in Cooper. Mr Ray moved to Klondike from Ft. Worth in 1981. He was a Nazarene by faith and was a member of the Ladonia Masonic Lodge and the Bethel Lodge #134, 15 years at General Dynamics and retired in 1980. Surviving are his wife, Mozelle Martin Ray of Klondike; son-in-law, Richard Hill of Klondike; brothers, Jim Ray of Shiloh, Horace Ray of Long Beach, Lester Ray and T.A. Ray of Klondike, Dan Ray of Dallas and Jack Ray of Lampasas; three sisters, Winnie Spain of Commerce, Reba Trevilion and Mary Beth Beeson, both of Mesquite. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Jeanie Ray Hill on December 8, 1991 and two brothers, Elton and Floyd Ray. Pallbearers were Fred Watkins, Verle Beeson, James Earl Ray, John Ray, Tom Ray and Charles Ray. Honorary pallbearers were Gaston Dodd, T.L. Brickley and Dolten Hill.
