Thanks to contributor #47466150; Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Wednesday, 16 January 1927 Broken Bow, Neb., Jan. 26.--(Special).--Joshua C. Moore, 79 years old, of Broken Bow, died at his home late Monday evening after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Moore for the past few weeks was confined to his home with the flu and was on the road to recovery, sufficiently enough to enable him to take meals with his daughter. On Monday evening, while partaking of supper, he complained of pains about his heart and passed away late in the evening from the attack. Mr. Moore for the past twenty years had been one of the leading abstractors in Broken Bow and an active church worker in the Christian church. He was born in Moultry County, Illinois on August 27, 1857(sic) and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Turner of Thedford, Neb., and Miss Katie Moore of Broken Bow, and one son, Water(sic) Moore of Ansley, Neb. Funeral services will be conducted from the Christian church at Broken Bow on Thursday afternoon, January 27, at 2:30 o'clock and interment made in the Broken Bow cemetery.
