Bio
Peyton was born in Clark County, Kentucky the son of William and Sarah Calvert Moore. Peyton was the sixth of six children born to Sarah. Sarah died ans Peyton's father married next to Susannah and had eight more children. On October 10,1832 Peyton married Mariah Roney near Jonathan Creek, Shelby County, Illinois. To this union thirteen (13) Children were born; Children William Harvey Moore b: 07 AUG 1833 in Shelby Co., IL Susan Jane Moore b: 20 JAN 1835 in Shelby Co., IL James Madison Moore b: 10 MAY 1837 in Shelby Co., IL Mary Ann Moore b: 04 FEB 1839 in Shelby Co., IL Sarah Elisabeth Moore b: 08 JUL 1841 in Shelby Co., IL John Thomas Moore b: 14 MAY 1843 in Moultrie Co., IL Louisa Moore b: 04 FEB 1845 in Moultrie Co., IL George Moore b: 13 MAR 1847 in Moultrie Co., IL Nancy Moore b: 13 JUN 1849 in Moultrie Co., IL Joshua C. Moore b: 22 AUG 1851 in Moultrie Co., IL Perry Moore b: 03 FEB 1854 in Moultrie Co., IL Henry Moore b: 03 FEB 1854 in Moultrie Co., IL Willis Moore b: 20 OCT 1855 in Moultrie Co., IL Mariah Roney Moore died on January 26,1856 and was buried on her fathers farm.
