Moore passed away at his home on West. 4th St. Monday evening at the advanced age of 78 years. Mr. Moore with his fammily came from Illinois to South Dakota in March 1911, residing on their farm in Alpha twp and afterwards movinng to their home in this city. Deceased was a veteran of the Civil war serving under Grant in an Illinois regiment. He was a devout Christian, having served as an elder in the presbyterian church for more than fifty years and held such position in the church at the time of his death. There are left to mourn his loss six daughters and three sons, the wife and mother having passed away about two years ago. these are Mrs J. E. Cross of York twp, Mrs Martin of Kansas, Missess Edith, Martha, Grace and Nina of this city, Edgar D. of Alha twp, William of Manchester, S. D., and Geo. of Gayes, Illinois, all of whom were present for the funeral. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the presbyterian church by Rev. A.. P.
