Naomia Brown Visitation for Naomia Shipley Brown, a Torrance resident for 35 years, will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Halverson-Leavell Mortuary in Torrance. Born October 8, 1901, in American For, Utah, she died April 27, 1978, in a Harbor City hospital. She was a member of the National Society of Daughters of the Pioneers. Survivors include three daughters, Irene Farris of Riverside, Frances Stanzione of Long Beach and LaRae Wilson of Torrance; four sons Eugene Fassbinder of Montana, Richard Fassbinder of Lakewood, Dean Brown of Inglewood and Wilmer Brown of Washington, 32 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Torrance. Burial will follow at Inglewood Park Cemetery. Parents: Joseph A and Frances Hill Shipley Married Floyd Peter Fassbinder 31 May 1920. They had six children. Married Henry Franklin Brown 18 Oct 1944.
