A. Rauschuber dies suddenly at home Alois Rauschuber, one of the most prominent German-American farmers in the Tours community, died suddenly at his home Tuesday morning. Mr. Rauschuber had not been ill and his sudden death came as a great shock to his family and numerous friends thruout this section. It is reported that he was doing some chores about the house, and was in the act of entering the building, when he staggered slightly, and then slowly sank to the ground. He was immediately taken into the house, but death claimed him within a very few minutes. Mr. Rauschuber had long been a resident of this community, and by hard work and good management he had prospered, having at the time of his death a very valuable farm, highly inproved, about four miles east of West, on the Tours road. Surviving him are his wife and eleven children, to all of whom is extended sincere sympathy. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev. Father Prekar of St. Martin's Church at Tours. The West Weekly News and Times, West, Texas, Vol. 13, No. 3, Ed. 1 Friday, October 29, 1920, Pg 1
