Mike J. Glatter, age 78, of 404 S. Reagan St. in West passed away at 12:25 a.m. Monday, July 21 at West Community Hospital. He was born at Westphalia, Texas March 9, 1902 and had lived in the West area for the past 70 years. He was a retired farmer and builder. He built the original Lone Star Tavern Steak House in Waco which his daughter owned and operated for many years. He worked at the Cotton Gin in Hoen for several years. He was a choir member at St. Martin's Church in Tours for many years and he received a 50 year pin from St. Martin's KJT No. 60 in Tours in 1976. He is survived by his wife Magdelena, one son, Anton (Tony) Glatter of Waco. Another son, Mike Glatter Jr. died in 1966; three daughters Irene Mueller, Leona (Bootsie) Weinberger and Evelyn (Curly) Gauer all of West; two brothers, Gene Glatter of Eastgate and Henry Glatter of West; six sisters, Mrs. Lena McGee of Pearland, Mrs. Rosie Bockholt of Robstown, Mrs. Christine Leuschner of Waco, Mrs. Angeleen Dicorte of Waco, Mrs. Agnes Meixner of Elm Mott and Mrs. Louise Sparks of Gholson; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with burial following in St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours. Rev.
