Mrs. Frances Bartosh, age 93, of 300 Haven in West, passed away early Wednesday afternoon, November 9, 1988 at West Rest Haven. A prayer service and rosary was held 7 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, November 11 at the West Brethren Church with Rev. Lawrence Junek and Rev. Angelo Bertini officiation. Burial followed in West Brethren Cemetery. Mrs. Bartosh was born January 2, 1895 in Nada, Texas the daughter of Phillip and Frances Bilek. She married Eustis Frank Bartosh on February 7, 1917 in Garwood. They then moved to the Penelope area of Hill County before later moving to the West area. Mr. Bartosh preceded his wife in death on July 27, 1954. Mrs. Bartosh was a housewife and homemaker, a member of the SPJST Lodge 54 in West and the West Brethren Church. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Albin Bartosh who died in 1955 and Jerry Bartosh who died in 1978. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jimmie (Frances) Tobola of West, Mrs. Joe (Agnes) Prasifka of Cedar Hill, and Mrs. Tony (Mary Jane) Chudej of Waco; one step-brother, Ernest Bartosh of Rowlett; five sisters, Mrs. Louis (Agnes) Kramr of West, Mrs. James (Ann) Sheppard of Dallas, Mrs. Jack (Vera) Truitt of Austin, Mrs. Fred (Emily) Plsek and Mrs. Robert (Billie) Navratil both of West; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were grandsons: Maj. Vincent Tobola, James Tobola, David Tobola, John Prasifka, Jerry Prasifka, Larry Bartosh, Raymond Bartosh, Tommy Chudej and Tony Chudej.
