Bio

Beatrice was born on December 28, 1910, the third of six girls of Joseph A. Gerik and Frances V. Stepan Gerik. Beatrice was born and grew up in West and lived in the West area all of her life. Beatrice married Alphonse Berger in November, 1936 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. They lived in West all of their married lives except for a period of time when Alphonse worked in Massey, Texas. Alphonse died in 1963 at the age of 56. In 1968 Beatrice married Louis J. Pustejovsky. Louis is buried next to his 1st wife, Agnes Marie Urbanovsky. Beatrice is buried next to 1st husband, Alphonse Berger. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beatrice Pustejovsky, longtime shop employee WEST-Mrs. Louis (Beatrice) Pustejovsky of West, who worked at the Famous Shop and the Village Shop for the past 40 years, died Tuesday morning at a West hospital. She was 84. Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, the Rev. Melvin Dornak as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mrs. Pustejovsky was born Dec. 28, 1910, in West, where she lived her entire life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, the Altar Society, the KJZT Society 11 and Catholic Daughters of America Court 829 of West. Her husband, Alphonse Berger, preceded her in death. She later married Louis J. Pustejovsky on Sept. 1, 1968. Survivors include her husband; four sisters, Ella Elles and Henrietta Sembera, both of LaSalle, Lillian Macicek of West and Mary Ann Zatopek of Temple. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Kotch Funeral Home in West is in charge of arrangements. Pustejovsky of West; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Elles and Mrs. Henrietta Sembera, both of LaSalle. Texas, Lillian Macicek of West and Mary Ann Zatopek of Temple. Active pallbearers are Jim Elles, Randy Franek, David Zatopek, Jimmy Doherty, Freddy Gerik and John Moore. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
