Buckholts, Texas – Services for Ida Edna Gommert, 91, of Buckholts, Texas, who died Saturday, July 24, 1999, in a Cameron, Texas Nursing Home, will be at 2:00 P.M., July 26, 1999 at Buckholts Evangelical Brethren Church with the Rev. Norman Haisler officiating. Burial will be at Hope Lutheran Memorial Park Cemetery in Buckholts, Texas under the direction of Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron, Texas. Mrs. Gommert was born February 29, 1908, in Fayetteville, Texas, the daughter of Herman and Mary Meier Hagemeister. She was a retired housekeeper. Survivors include two sons and their wives; Woodrow "Sonny" and Florine Gommert of Temple, Texas, and Wilbert "Shorty" and Betty Gommert of Buckholts, Texas; two daughters and their husbands; Lois Evelyn and Ernest Orsag of Buckholts, Texas, and Dorothy Jean and Ivy "Bud" Price of Ferriday, Louisiana; one sister, Hilda Jackson of Belton, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
