Woodrow W. Gommert, 81, of Temple, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012, at First Lutheran Church, 1515 W. Adams Ave, Temple. Pastor Patricia Dietrich will officiate with burial to follow in Corinth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple. Woodrow was born in Holland, Texas, to the late Charlie and Ida (Hagemeister) Gommert. He married Florine Vybiral on July 16, 1949, in the Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts. Woodrow spent his entire 53 year professional career working in the Architectural Department at Chupik. Woodrow is survived by his wife, Florine, of Temple; sons, David Gommert and wife, Judy, of Temple, Dwayne Gommert and wife, Dolores, of Temple, and Terry Gommert and wife, Deborah, of Troy; daughter, Kimberly Davis and husband, Larry, of Temple; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother, Wilbert Gommert and wife, Betty, of Buckholts; sisters, Dorothy Price, of Fairday, LA, and Lois Orsag, of Buckholts; and many other family members and friends.
