Wilbert Charles Gommert, 91, of Buckholts, died Tuesday, May21, 2024 in a Cameron nursing facility. Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Corinth Cemetery pavilion near Buckholts. Mr. Gommert was born July 18, 1932, in Milam County, to Charles and Ida Edna (Hagemeister) Gommert. He married Betty Jane Janes. He retired as a supervisor for Temple Products. Mr. Gommert was a U. S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow Gommert and by two sisters, Dorothy Price and Lois Orsag. Mr. Gommert is survived by: his wife, Betty Gommert of Buckholts; his son, Harvey Gommert and wife Debbie of Cameron; by 2 grandsons, Stetson Gommert and wife Amanda of LaGrange and Colton Gommert and wife Holly of Cameron; and seven great grandchildren, Aubrey, Lucas, Harper, Jayci, Grayson, Olivia and Naomi.
