Bio

Leroy Casey, 84, of Rule died Wednesday, December 19, 2002 at Haskell Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services were held Friday, December 21, 2001 at the Church of Christ in Rule with John Greeson officiating. Burial followed in Rule Cemetery under the direction of Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors. He was born September 7, 1917, the son of Tom and Katie Casey. He married Mary Loudell Emerson August 24, 1946 in Albany. He was a farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and one granddaughter. Survivors include his wife of Rule; one son and daughter-in-law Troy and Patsy Scoggins of Abilene; one daughter, Cathey Casey of Rule; four grandchildren, Suzanne Bailey and husband Larry, of __ Tony Scoggins and wife, Karla of Longview, Troy Scoggins, Dene, of Grapevine and Misty Szatkowski and husband, Mark, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Lamar Casey of Rule; one sister, Maxine Herttenberger of Rule; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Rob Kittley, Patrick Pace, Tommy Stryker, Sorrells, Derrell Sorrells and Glen Davis. Honorary Pallbearers were Joe Robison, Bobby Kittley, Jack Davis and Herbert Williams.
