Emma L. (BROGDON) Smith MOUNDRIDGE - Emma L. "Emmer" Smith, 100, died March 13, 2007, at Memorial Home, Moundridge. She was born Sept. 23, 1906, in Kingston, Okla., the daughter of John Monroe and Margaret Jane Dawson Brogdon. A resident of Moundridge for two years, formerly of Bartlesville, Okla., she was a child care provider. She belonged to Church of the Brethren. On Sept. 25, 1924, she married Gerald D. Smith in Pawhuska, Okla. He died Oct. 5, 1965. Survivors include: two daughters, Mary R. Graber, Moundridge, and Sue Scruggins, Bartlesville, Okla.; a sister, Elsie Cole, Dollar Bay, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Janie Peterman; a brother, Lee Brogdon; a foster daughter, Betty Lou Curley; and three great-great-grandchildren. Service are pending in Bartlesville, Okla. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be sent to Memorial Home, in care of Moundridge Funeral Home. Burial at White Rose Cemetery, Bartlesville, Oklahoma
