Published in the Athens, Texas Review December 26, 1946 Mr. and Mrs. M.F. Wood left Athens Friday afternoon in response to a message that Mrs. Wood's uncle, H.E. Young, died Friday morning at 9 o'clock in Atlanta, Georgia, of a heart attack.He was born in Georgia, and came to Texas with his family when a boy, settling near LaRue. After several years of farming in that community, and while still a young man, he returned to Georgia and had resided there since. He was in the hardware business at Cartersville until retiring some four years ago, and since then had resided in Atlanta.He was also an uncle of Mrs. Jess Miller and Mrs. Kate Nowlin of Athens. A sister, Mrs. Charlcie Otts, resides in Dallas.Mr. and Mrs. Young made an extended visit in this county during the past summer.
