MILTON A. MERCHANT LOXLEY — Milton A. "Jiggs" Merchant of Loxley, a native of Baldwin County, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999. He was 89. Merchant was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army, and was a member of the Robertsdale Masonic Lodge No. 821. He is survived by four daughters, Joyce A. Williams of Robertsdale, Joyce Edwards and Betty Lewis, both of Camden, and Gaynelle Hudgens of Hope Hull; three sisters, Verna Vaughn of Robertsdale, Marion Jerkins of Pensacola and Lillie Henderson of Spanish Fort; one brother, Roy Merchant of Robertsdale; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Mack Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lee Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Baldwin Memorial Cemetery in Robertsdale. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services, beginning at 9 a.m. Funeral arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale. Published October 14, 1999, Mobile Register, Mobile, Alabama
