Bio

Daughter of Jacob Burkholder and his wife Martha McMullen. Lydia married William J. Reid on 13 June 1876 in Mercer county, Illinois. Daughter Bertha Alice was born in 1877, and son Chester Arthur was born in 1878. Lydia was listed as married in the 1880 census, but living with her parents in Spring Grove township, Warren county without her husband. Lydia then married Henry Miner in Warren county on 18 March 1885. Henry was twice widowed, and a veteran of the Civil War. Together, they were the parents of son Earl born in 1886, and daughters Nora Gertrude, born 1889, and Myrtha, born 1891. Lyida was buried in Monmouth cemetery with other members of her family. Husband Henry Miner was later buried with his second wife and children at Silent Home cemetery, near Cameron.
