GALYEAN, Randolph - {from Hiwasse} Randolph Galyean died Thursday, May 21, 1914 and was buried at Mt. Pleasant Friday. Mr. Galyean was one of he earliest settlers in these parts and a citizen and neighbor who will be missed by his host of friends. He had been a victim if paralysis for some years and this was the cause of his death. He figured in the early development of this country and the hardships and perplexing problems of the rebellion in which he shared gives him a place in the interesting history of Benton county in those days.
