Herald Coaster, June 27, 1972: Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday for J.D. Brown, 58, a Stafford resident who died Monday in Sugar Land's Eldridge Hospital. Rev. S.L. Edwards will officiate at the services scheduled for Garmany and Co. Chapel in Rosenberg, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Lillie; mother, Mrs. Susie Brown of Bartlett; his sons, Jimmy of Houston and Bobby of Stafford; daughters, Margaret Sullivan of Denver, Colo. and Helen Mabes of La Marque; his brothers, Ernest of Wharton, Amos, Ollie, and R.L., all of Austin, Lawrence of Victoria, and Clarence of Conroe; sisters, Mary Hendricks of Temple, Katherine Brock of Bartlett, Julia Howell of Rosenberg, and Sadie Elliott of San Juan, Cal. Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. at Garmany and Co. Chapel in Rosenberg.
