Fort Bend Herald, May 1, 2008: Funeral services for Julia Brown Howell, 90, are 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Graeber Road Church of Christ in Rosenberg, Texas. Interment follows in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg with Allen Hahn officiating the services. The family receives friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2008, in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Julia was born June 7, 1917, in Travis County, Texas, to John Brown and Susie Bush Brown. A resident of Rosenberg since 1949, she was a member of Graeber Road Church of Christ in Rosenberg. She passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2008, at Fort Bend Healthcare Center in Rosenberg, where she had resided for four years. Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Howell; her parents; grandchildren, Dennis and Robin Howell; seven brothers; and five sisters. She is survived by her son, Preston Howell and wife, Tracy, of Edna, Texas; daughter, Barbara Martin and husband, Don, of Rosenberg; brother, R. L. Brown of Kosse, Texas; grandchildren: James Howell of Victoria, Texas, George Howell of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Ericka Craven of Rosenberg; step-grandsons, Michael Martin of Lubbock, Texas, and Clay Martin of Hobbs, N.M.; three great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
