Earlin (Butler) Morris Henson Marsh was born on 17 February 19.1 in Basalt, Bingham, Idaho. She is the oldest of three children born to Franklin Earl Butler and Earlin Thornton. She and her brother, Lawrence Franklin Butler, lost their father on 30 May 1933. Their brother, Earl Duane, was born the same day they buried their dad. Franklin died from a hereditary heart condition. As a young child of about 3 or 4 years of age, she contracted Rheumatic Fever and was very sickly. She never complained or said, "I can't." As a result of the sickness, her heart was damaged. Earlin Louella was also known as Linny. On 30 November 1934 in Woodville, Bingham, Idaho Earlin (Thornton) Butler married Harold George Morris and he adopted her three kids. They then had four children and they are Georgia Ann, Gay (born premature and died after 6 hours), Glenna Elizabeth, and Pearl (died at age 19 following an illness). On 17 Aug 1949, Earlin Louella Morris married Stanley Leonard Henson in Pocatello, Bannock, Idaho. They had one son. She filed for divorce. Then she married Charles Larry Marsh on 28 Apr 1953 in Evanston, Uinta, Wyoming. They had one daughter. Larry enlisted into the Navy on 13 April 1948 and spent some time on the USS Sierra before she was sailed to her new homeport in Virginia. Earlin wanted to give her children a wonderful Christmas in 1961. She was too sick and weak to be able to walk so her brother carried her through the store. Her husband, Larry, was out to sea during this time. Sadly, she passed away at the Balboa, Naval Hospital in San Diego, San Diego, California on 10 Jan 1962. She was survived by her husband and two young kids, the oldest being 11 years of age. She was also survived by her mom and stepdad (Earlin and Harold), brothers (Lawrence and Earl), and sisters (Georgia, Glenna, and Pearl). She was preceded in death by her sister Gay. Note: Her oldest granddaughter has possession of her christening gown, shoes, hat, and certificates. Additionally, there are copies of marriage and divorce records, knick-knacks (a bird and pig), two tiny dolls with which she played, and a copy of a letter she wrote to her parents. This same granddaughter wanted to learn as much as she could about her grandma, Earlin. Earlin (Thornton) Morris told her great-granddaughter that she's a lot like Earlin Louella.
