Victoria Advocate, 22 Oct 1965, page 7 Mrs. Ben Janca Advocate News Service YOAKUM – Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday from Buffington Funeral Home chapel and at 9:15 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mrs. Ben (Mathilda) Janca, 72, lifetime resident of Yoakum. The Rev. John Matocha will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Janca was born Feb 16, 1893. She died at the family residence at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday. Survivors include the husband; a brother, Emil Lauer of Yoakum; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Orsak and Mrs. Louise Mikulenka, both of Yoakum, Mrs. Albina Olshovsky of Danbury, and Mrs. Mary Horky of Angleton; a daughter, Mrs. Pete Veselka of Woodsboro; five grandchildren, including Theresa Janca and Betty Ann Miori, both of Victoria, and eight great grandchildren.
