Ben Janca Advocate News Service YOAKUM—Ben Janca, 79, of 1707 Parsifal in Victoria, was dead on arrival at a Victoria hospital at 5.30 p.m. Wednesday of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Janca had resided in Victoria for the past three months and was a former Yoakum resident. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yoakum with the Rev. Michael O'Shaughnessy officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Bufffington Funeral Home. A rosary was recited Thursday at 8 p m. at the funeral home chapel. Survivors include a daughter. Mrs. Pete Veselka of Woodsboro, two brothers, John Janca of Rosenberg and Jerry Janca of San Antonio; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Brosch of Cistern; Mrs. Helen Strouhal of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Lydia Veselka of San Antonio; six grandchildren including Miss Theresa Janca and Mrs. James Miori, both of Victoria; and 10 great-grandchildren.
