Victoria Advocate, 26 May 1968 Emil R. Lauer Advocate News Service YOAKUM – Emil R. Lauer of Yoakum, 67, died at 1:42 a.m. Saturday in a Yoakum hospital. A lifetime resident of Yoakum, Mr. Lauer was born here Jan. 22, 1901. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel and at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Matocha officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel. Mr. Lauer is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Lauer of Yoakum; and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Horky of Angleton, Mrs. Albina Olshovsky of Danbury and Mrs. Louise Mikulenka and Mrs. Emma Orsak, both of Yoakum.
