Topeka State Journal Monday 11 August, 1975, pf. 12: OSAGE CITY - Kenneth William Orender, 51, Rte. 2, Osage City, died Saturday at a Topeka hospital. He was born November 16, 1923 in Nance County, Neb. He moved to the Osage City community in 1953. He was a farmer and a Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Osage City. He married Dorothy Mills on August 3, 1945. She survives at home. Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Eltha Orender, Fullerton, Neb. a daughter, Mrs. Marion Lowman, Amarillo, Tex.; 3 sons, Darrel Orender, Emporia, and William L. Orender and Lowell Orender, both of Osage City; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dereath Pickrel, Fullerton, Neb., Mrs. Irene McCurdy, Grand Island, Neb., and Mrs. Phyllis Shufeldt, Hoyt; a brother, Keith Orender, Topeka; and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Osage City with burial in Osage City Cemetery. Crable Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
