Millie Prasifka Chudej, 94, of West, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, in West. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 1 p.m. Monday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Millie was born in Penelope, Texas, to the late Charlie L. and Vincie (Kadlubar) Prasifka. She attended schools in Penelope. In 1947, she was united in marriage to Joe A. Chudej. Millie worked as a sewing machine operator for Clifton Manufacturing, Wood Manufacturing, Lorch Manufacturing, and Wolf Manufacturing. She also was a homemaker. Millie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, K.J.Z.T. # 11, and St. Anne's Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, on January 14, 1968; granddaughters, Gina Dassing, and Danielle Dassing; step-granddaughter, Pam Jones; brothers, Charlie Prasifka, Jody Prasifka, and Laddie Prasifka; and sisters, Wilma Dennis and Albina Dennis. Survivors include daughter, Delores Dassing and husband, Raymond, of Waco; step-daughter, Marie McClain, of Irving; sister, Irene Watkins, of Hunting Park, CA; grandsons, Dwayne Dassing, and Gary Dassing and wife, Maria; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
