Bio

Mr. Jerry Dale Williams, age 61, of the Banner Springs Community, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born February 7, 1947, the son of Guy and Gladys Williams of Allardt. He was a 1964 graduate of York Institute. He was a businessman and active in community. In addition to being a partner in Frogge & Williams, he also established Town & Country Paving and KGL&M Stone. Jerry Dale was a member of the Faith Baptist Tabernacle and Little Crab Lodge #614 F&AM, a former member of the Jamestown Jaycees, a member of the American Angus Association, the Tennessee Walking Horse Association, and was a Beef Quality Assurance Producer. He is survived by his wife, Carlene (Blair) Williams of Banner Springs, son Rod Williams & wife Crystal of Jamestown; daughter Elizabeth Yantz & husband Ryan of Jamestown; grandchildren Keith & Lynzee Yantz, Marcus Ballard, Gavyn & Ethan Williams; brother Sammie J. Williams of Jamestown, sisters Jo Nelda Blaylock & husband Sid of Knoxville; Margaret Tipton & husband Winsten of Muncie, IN, Mary Bowden of Allardt, and Betty Rose of Cookeville; special friends Karen Robbins & Luther Hinds, and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred "Midge" Pyle and Joyce Johnson. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mundy Funeral Home Chapel in Jamestown with Bro. Fred Allred offi-ciating, with burial in the Fentress Memory Gardens. Pallbearers included Larry Crabtree, Lannie Rose, John Rose, Dwitht Bowden, Joe Bowden, Kevin Blaylock, Keith Yantz, Gavyn Williams, and Marcus Ballard. Honorary pallbearers included Luther Hinds, Gary Reed, Jimmy Pierce, Larry Stephens, Jerry Dale Huff, Darrell Frazier, Alfred Jones, Dana Ashburn, and former employees of Frogge & Williams. The Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown was in charge of services.
