Sarah Frances Bloodworth was the daughter of Hardy Webb Bloodworth and Martha Isabela Shaw Bloodworth. She was born on March 5, 1851 in Middleton, Hardeman County, TN. Her father died when she was two years old and her mother, Martha, married Robert G. McGee. Sarah Frances married William Henry Abbott on April 14, 1872 in Holly Springs, Marshall Co, MS.
