Bio
Mary Ellen James, 74, of Waldron passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, in a Fort Smith hospital. Mary was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on July 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Shelby R. and Georgia E. (Puckett) Morgan. She graduated from West-Ark Community College, second in her class as an LPN. Mary is survived by two daughters, Sandra Newman of High Point, N.C., and Nita Jones of Waldron; three sons, Larry James of Sherman, Texas, Roy Anderson of Mountainburg and Donny Anderson of Wichita Falls; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by a sister, Shirley McCaffity of Wichita Falls; a brother, N.J. Morgan of Wichita Falls; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Anderson; and one grandson, Kenny Fuller. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Huntington Cemetery in Huntington with Pastor C.V. Lewis and Pastor Eddie Harlow officiating under the direction of the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron. Pallbearers will be Traver Butenschoen, Markus Richmond, John Schlorff, Tanner Schlorff, Monty Meredith and Nathan Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Linderman and Tommy "Cajun" Leaux.
