Sandra Lee ‘Cates' Newman, 61, of Fort Smith, AR passed away March 4, 2013. She was born September 9, 1951 in Wichita Falls, TX to the late Mary Ellen and Marion Earl James. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Tommy Dale Anderson, an uncle Randell McCaffity and a very special nephew Kenny Fuller. She is survived by four daughters, Tonya Meyer and Kevin Smith of Fort Smith, AR, Tina Hayden of Fort Smith, AR, Mary King and Phillip McKenzie of Perth, Australia, Annie Cates and Mark Friel of Fort Smith, AR; four brothers, Larry James of Texas, Roy Anderson of Wichita Falls, TX Donny Anderson and wife Patty Anderson of Wichita Falls, TX and Jim James of Oklahoma; three sisters Nita Jones of Waldron, AR, Earline James of Texas, and Kelley Ellis of Montana, a much loved pet dog Moose, special niece and nephew Shaunna Wyatt and Michael Fuller, 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Nathan Jackson, Trey Langford, Wayne Dinsmore, Brandon Dinsmore, Michael Fuller and Todd Whorton. Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. Interment will be following the service at Huntington Cemetery, Huntington, AR.
