Bio

Mr. Weaver wholesale oil and gasoline dealer, lived in Edinburg for the last 35 years. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Emma Russell Weaver; two daughters Mrs. Sylvia Weaver Nimmo (Mrs. Kenneth) with her Air Force husband stationed in France, Mrs. Harriet Weaver Snedeker (Mrs. John) of Edinburg; a son, Peyton Clarence Weaver of Edinburg; three grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. Olan Matthews (Annie) of Nacogdoches and Mrs. Henry Horn (Clara) of Sherman; two brothers, R.T. Weaver of Lancaster and William H. Weaver of Nacogdoches. Weaver was a member of the Odd Fellows, a former officer in the Masons, past president of the Kiwanis Club, a member of the Civil Air Patrol; a ham raddio operator, a member of and a deacon in the First Baptist Church where he taught a men's Sunday School class; and a commissioner of the Edinburg Housing Authority. Rev. O. Jack Chastain will officiate assisted by two former Edinburg Baptist ministers, Rev. Dallas Lee of Dallas and Rev. A.E. Riemann of Brownsville. The Masonic Lodge will have charge of graveside services.
