Friends of Emma Weaver of McAllen [TX] are invited to attend a 90th birthday celebration for her. Weaver arrived in the Rio Grande Valley as a child with her pioneer parents, Milo and Dora (Moon) Russell, and brothers Clarence and Dan Russell. She has lived in Edinburg [TX] and McAllen all of her life. She graduated from Edinburg Junior College, now the University of Texas-Pan American, and Mary Hardin Baylor University at Belton [TX]. Weaver taught school in Edinburg and has been active in the Edinburg First Baptist Church and the Girl Scouts. Her husband is the late Peyton Weaver. The birthday celebration will be hosted by Weaver's children: Sylvia Weaver Nimmo (Mrs. Kenneth), Harriet Weaver and Peyton C. Weaver; her grandchildren Brian and Christopher Nimmo, Russsell and Dean Weaver, Janet Hakanson and Mary Snedeker; and her great-grandchildren: Kenneth Nimmo, Shannon and Trevor Dinovo, and Jeffrey and Sam Hakanson.
