Keener Funeral. West Virginian. Fairmont, WV. Thurs., Nov. 21, 1929. The funeral of George W. Keener, 74 years old, whose death occurred Tuesday evening in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marshall Sharp, at Kingmont, was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the Lawler Chapel and was conducted by the Rev. L. L. Castro. Burial was made in the Lawler Cemetery by Carpenter & Ford. Geo. W. Keener Dies At Home. Grafton Sentinel. Grafton, WV. Wed., Nov. 20, 1929. Excerpt -- George W. Keener, 74 years old, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marshall Sharp, in Kingmont, Tuesday afternoon after a long illness with a complication of diseases. He was the son of Abraham and Elizabeth Keener, and had spent most of his life in Taylor county near Grafton. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Marshall Sharp, Kingmont; Mrs. Charles Hall, J. S. Keener, Dallas Keener, and Mrs. George Shaw, all of Grafton; by 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; by the following brothers and sisters, John Keener, Mrs. Alice Shriver, Mrs. A. D. Rexroad, and Mrs. George Jones, all of Grafton. Funeral services will be held in Lawler Chapel at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Interment will be in the Lawler Cemetery.
