Bio

Effie T (Smith) Eoff was the daughter of William P Smith and Sarah Jane "Janie" Milligan, natives of Texas. Effie was the second born of four children and was sister to Elza P Smith, Eunice Smith and Mary Floy Smith raised in Scurry and Borden counties, Texas. Their father was a stock farmer. Effie married Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Eoff June 8, 1915 in Scurry County, Texas. He was the son of Jonathan Eoff and Panola Beatrice Bishop, natives respectively of Arkansas and Texas. Frank farmed in Scurry County, Texas. Effie and Frank were the parents of Eleanor Rae Eoff, William Smith "Smitty" Eoff, Geraldine Eoff and Weldon Eoff (d.y.).
