Golda Odessa Lynch was born February 8, 1908 in Fallis, Oklahoma to Alvie Thurman and Jessie Theo Haun Lynch, the first of eleven children. She passed away on the 27 of April 2002 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Irma McCane and Louise Kennedy, brothers, Clyde Lynch and Wayne Lynch, her former husband, Jaromir J. Pata and her grandson, Richard D. Williamson. She is survived by her children, Theresa {Betty} Williamson Pokladnik and her husband Robert of Dallas, Rudolf J. Pata and wife Wanda of San Diego, California and Bernard C. Pata and wife, Jean of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Cheryl Marie Cornell Jones and husband David of Brooksville, Florida, sisters, Lona Ashmore of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jewell Stickel of Knights Landing, California, Ruby Furman of Wellington. Kansas and Lois Cavis of Ramona, Oklahoma, brothers, Harold Lynch of Reseda, California and Robert H. Lynch of Liberal, Kansas. She has thirteen grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, eleven step-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She graduated from Union Grade #1 High School with a Business School Scholarship and attended Draughon's Business School in Oklahoma City. She retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1973 after 20 years. She loved to dance and did so for many years. In November 1999 she went to stay with her daughter Betty. After a stroke in July 2000, she moved to Autumn Leaves Home for senior citizens in Dallas where she was loved by all. She was the head of her siblings for the past 30 years. Her family and friends will miss her wonderful smile and the cheery outlook she had on life. She was always there for her family when they needed anything. There will be a vigil service at the All Saints Chapel in the Connor Center on Tuesday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Thomas Boyer at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral on May 1, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Her grandsons will be honorary pallbearers. Burial will be at Rossville Cemetery, Rossville, Oklahoma, where many of her family are buried.
