Courtesy of Wilson Funeral home Obituary for Rudolf Pata Rudolf "Rudy" Joseph Pata, 90, of El Reno, passed away January 1, 2023. Rudy was born December 10, 1932 to Jaromir Joseph Pata and Golda Odessa (Lynch) Pata in Seminole, Oklahoma. He joined the United States Navy at the age of 17. During his time in the service he did tours in Korea and Vietnam. He married Maryann Chrastik and was stationed in California, New York, and Hawaii. Rudy retired as lieutenant commander. He was a private pilot and loved flying. He married Wanda Jacobs in 1998. They lived in Lakeside, CA until October 2003 when a fire destroyed their home. They then moved to Canyon Lake, TX and lived their until moving to El Reno, OK in 2015. Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Jaromir and Golda Pata; brother, Bernard Pata, and sister, Betty Pokladnik of Dallas, TX. He is survived by his wife, Wanda of El Reno, OK; sons, Don Pata and wife Becky of Edmond, OK, R.J. Pata and wife Debby of Wimberly, TX, and Kevin Pata and wife Rhonda of Dripping Springs, TX; step-children, Ken Jacobs and wife Tina of El Reno, OK and Patricia Sanders and husband Dale of Woodward, OK; he is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Jones and husband Dave of Brooksville, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor the life of Rudolf "Rudy" Pata will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the El Reno Cemetery. Come and go viewing will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8 from 1:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.
