Wife of Adolph Robert Biehle. Frances is still living as of this posting date. ∼ Frances Biehle, 97, of Thorndale, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016, in the Scott & White Hospital in Taylor. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in the Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Rockdale. Clyde Poldtrack will officiate. Frances was born in Austin, Texas, to the late Joseph Karl and Tracy (Haag) Beran. On October 19, 1946, she and Adolph Robert Biehle were married. She was a lifelong resident of Thorndale and member of Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church. Frances was a homemaker and was well known for the cookies she baked. She attended all the Thorndale sporting events with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sitting on the bottom row so she could visit and hug all the kids. She was a big supporter of St. Paul Lutheran School and Thorndale High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph, in 1993; son, Johnny Wayne Biehle, on July 22, 2007; great-grandson, Scott Baker; and nine siblings. Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Biehle and wife, Darlene, of Thorndale, and Ray Biehle and wife, Gloria, of Rockdale; daughter, Mary Towery and husband, Glenn, of Thorndale; daughter-in-law, Linda Biehle, of Thorndale; grandchildren: Darell Towery and wife, Lori, of Thorndale, Peggy Redmond and husband, Larry, of Hutto, Sherry Williams and husband, Flyn, of Georgetown, Susan Biscamp, of Thorndale, Denise Rummel, Petrice Rummel and husband, Ronald, of Longview, Janese Poe and husband, Roy, of Rockdale, Holli Van West and husband, Derrick, of Thorndale, Laci Hopper and husband, Brandyn, of Bryan, Heather Lamia and husband, Dom, of Thorndale, and Troy Biehle and wife, Cristi, of Thorndale; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
