Lee Gurley was the son of John W. Clowdus and Frances Ellis Armstrong. He married Frances E. "Fannie" Hartley abt 1899 in Blount County, Alabama. Their children were Ernest Grady, Quincy Lee and Ruby G. Clowdus.
