WALTER A CRANE RITES TUESDAY----ARKANSAS CITY TRAVELER Walter A. Crane, 80 1018 North F. St. died at 7.40 P. M. Saturday evening at Memorial Hospital in Arkansas City, Ks. He was born Nov. 22, 1887, near Corbin, Kan., to David Crane and Emma Jane Corzine Crane. He married Mabel Edna Eshelman on July 2, 1911, at Corbin, and they farmed until moving to Arkansas City in in 1936. He was employed at the Arkansas City Gravel Co. for 13 years before retiring. He was a member of the Central Christian Church and was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs Mildred May Moeller, four brother, William M., John W., Charley L., and James J. Crane, and three sisters. Mrs. Laura May Eshelman, Mollie and Ida Crane. Survivors include his widow of the home, four sons, Everett C. Rt.2 Lyman S., Winfield, Lloyd A., 711 E. Central Ave. and Earnest E. 1118 North F. St., three brothers, Tom, Wellington, Ben, Ark Valley Manor, and Edd, Geuda Springs, three half-sisters, Mrs J. S. (Iva) Therkildsen, Mrs. Harold L. (Helen) Adamson, both of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Mrs, Maureen Wilson, Los Altos, Calif., 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Rindt Memorial Chapel with Rev. James P Beck officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery Submitted by Darlene Richardson #47497351
