Laramie, WY newspaper obituary, March 5, 1941: D.B. Crane succumbs here at 81 Funeral arrangements for D. B. Crane, 81, who succumbed shortly after 10 o'clock this morning at Ivinson hospital after a sudden illness, were incomplete today, pending word from relatives in Kansas. Mr. Crane, a resident of Laramie since 1925, was born in Henry county (sic), Mo., Jan. 4, 1860. Prior to living here he had farmed in southern Kansas. He was employed at the local stock yards for a time and later was occupied as a trucker. He was a member of the Methodist church and the son of a Methodist minister. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. J. S. Therkildsen of Laramie, Mrs. H. L. Adams (sic) of Denver and Mrs. Maureen Wilson who resides in Illinois; four sons, Thomas, Walter, Benjamin and Edward Crane, all living southern Kansas, and a step-son, L. D. Dickinson of Laramie. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Green Hill cemetery beside the body of his wife, who succumbed here in 1925.
