Transcription of Obituary from The Bryan Daily Eagle, Wed., Aug. 11, 1954 Mother of Bryan Women Dies Here [sic] William Monroe Holligan, 1906 Cavitt Drive, 80, passed away in a local hospital Tuesday evening at 6:40 o'clock. Born in Brazos county , December 23, 1873, Mr. Holligan had resided in the county all of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Linnie Holligan, three daughters, Mrs. J. C. Hotard, and Mrs. H. L. Wedel, Bryan; Mrs. H. C. Ricard, Bellaire; two sons, A. M. Holligan, Bryan and H.H. Holligan, Houston. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. W. F. Terry and Mrs. W. A. Withers of Bryan and Mrs. J. I. Neal of Woodville; one brother, J. L. Holligan of Bryan, 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Hillier Funeral Home with the Rev. H. L. Herring, Jr., pastor of the Calvary Baptist church officiating. Interment will be made in the Reliance cemetery with six nephews serving as pallbearers.
