Transcription of Obituary from The Bryan Daily Eagle, Wednesday, 7 April 1971 Mr. Holligan Funeral services for J. Luther Holligan, 86, of Rt. 3, Bryan are scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Hillier Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Holligan died today in a local hospital. The Rev. Louie Walston of the Gause Baptist Church is schedules to officiate. Burial will be in the Steep Hollow Cemetery. Born Jan. 15, 1885, in Brazos County, Mr. Holligan was a lifetime resident. He was retired farmer and rancher and member of the Steep Hollow Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife and one sister, Mrs. W. A. Withers of Bryan. Scheduled as pallbearers are Jerry Holligan, Gene Holligan, Lowell Holligan, Jett Terry, Douglas McBride, and Fred Overstreet.
