Fort Bend Herald, Tuesday, August 5, 2025: Funeral services for Cora Lea Zwahr, 79, of Needville, will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home, with interment following at Cesinger Cemetery in Needville. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home. She was born on June 18, 1946 in Rosenberg, TX and she went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2025 in Needville, TX, surrounded by her loving family. Cora's remarkable journey began in Long Point, Texas where she grew up and later graduated from Needville High School in 1964, a testament to her determination. She thrived on the family farm until she made a move to Rosenberg in 1994 to care for her beloved grandson, John "Boo". She is preceded in death by her parents, John Adolph and Virginia Zwahr of Needville; sister, Ruby Ellen Utley and husband, Walton, of Sweeney; and half-brother, Lloyd Zwahr of Needville. Cora is survived by her daughter, Janine Lea Vavrecka of Needville; son, Henry Vavrecka Jr. and wife, Christina, of Rosenberg; grandsons, John Patrick (Charlene), Christopher, Noah, Joshua (Samantha), Ronnie (Audrea); granddaughters, Hannah (Niles), Mariah (Cody); and numerous great-grandchildren.
