Bio
Lillian Beckham, 90, formerly of Waco, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008, at an Austin nursing facility. Services and burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Formal visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Lillian Jane was born in Tours, Texas, to Matilda Maca and Joseph Uptmore. She was married to Buell Beckham for 61 years and served as a Navy wife. Throughout her life she cared for many family members and friends. Her bright smile and great wit will be missed. Lillian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Preceding Lillian in death were her parents; husband, Buell Beckham in December of 2003; three brothers; and one sister. Those left behind to cherish her memory are daughter, Phyllis Coombes, of Austin; grandson, Zach Coombes, of Austin; brother, A.J. Uptmore and wife, Mickey, of China Spring; sister-in-law, Helen Uptmore, of Hallsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. WT: 7/15/2008
