Bio
Marguerite Sophie Muesse was the youngest child, and only daughter, of Herman & Matilda (Schmidt) Muesse. Marguerite was also the youngest of the 10 grandchildren of her maternal grandparents, Carl and Sophie (Bode) Schmidt. At her death, Marguerite was the last surviving grandchild of Carl & Sophie (Bode) Schmidt. Marguerite was baptized May 23, 1926, at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in the Walling Community near Malone, Hill County, Texas. Marguerite married Weldon James Schronk on March 1, 1943. They were married 59 years when Weldon died in 2002. ************************************************************************************************* OBITUARY: Marguerite Schronk, 99, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. A private graveside service will take place with immediate family only on May 1, 2025, at Hillcrest Garden of Memories Cemetery. Marguerite was born April 18, 1926, in Brandon, Texas, to Herman Ferdinand Muesse and Matilda Ella Sophie (Schmidt) Muesse. Marguerite played softball and basketball in high school and enjoyed a good game of dominoes. She loved Dr. Pepper and Baby Ruth candy bars. A faithful caregiver when her family needed her help, she loved her grandkids unconditionally. Marguerite was an excellent cook and loved to prepare meals from her garden until she was 90 years old. She displayed her faith through service to the Irene Methodist and Frost Methodist churches, helping with meals and festivals throughout her life. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon James Schronk; her parents, Herman Ferdinand Muesse and Matilda Ella Sophie Muesse; her brother, Herman Muesse, Jr.,; and her son, Wesley Schronk. She is survived by her son, James Ray Schronk and his wife, Judy; daughter-in-law, Debbie Schronk; grandchildren, Rodney Schronk and his wife, Susan; Derek Schronk and his wife, Sandra; Allison Wood and her husband, Woody; and Adam Schronk; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Schronk, Trey Schronk, Elynn Wood and Aylor Wood.
