Services for Lois Waters Williams, 86, Tyler, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors chapel, Tyler, with the Rev. Mike Ford officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery. Mrs. Williams died July 10, 2008, in Tyler. She was born May 12, 1922, in Swan to the late Loyd C. and Nancy Elizabeth Wheat Waters. She lived in Tyler all her life, was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by sons, Ed Shaffer and Jimmy Shaffer, and daughter, Karen Melton. Survivors include daughters, Nancy Long, Red Springs, and Diane Tippit, Tyler; brother, Frank Waters, Red Springs; sister, Bettie Jack Childress, Garland; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, 75701.
