Son of: Mary Caroline Stidham and John Newton Waters Married: Nancy Elizabeth Wheat Obituary: LINDALE--Funeral rites for Loyd C. Waters, 68, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Swan Baptist Church with the Rev. Clayton Featherston officiating. Mr. Waters died Tuesday at his Swan residence. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery under direction of York-Caudle Funeral Home of Lindale. Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Waters of Swan; three sons, John C. Waters of Houston, Loyd Waters, Jr. and Franklin D. Waters, both of Tyler; six daughters, Mrs. Ben Vickers of Luders, Mrs. Beatrice Simms and Mrs. Olan Stafford, both of Dallas, Mrs. Floyd Frizzell of Garland, Mrs. J.W. Glasscock of Red Springs and Mrs. A. A. Shaffer of Tyler; one foster daughter, Linda Waters of Swan; six brothers, Lonnie Waters of Norwalk, Calif., John Waters of San Diego, Cone Waters of Bridgeport, Luther Waters of the Veterans Hospital at McKinney, Bob Waters of Tyler and George Waters of Big Sandy; 33 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Cyril Brown, Carl Hitt, Tom Harrison, T.V. McCain, Sam Duncan and Eddie Shaffer.
