Bio

Russell M Payne was the son of Francis Marion Payne and Mary Stephenson. He was a dentist. He was a murder victim. He was shot by his office assistant and secretary Mrs. Lydia Robinson. She was found guilty of his murder in Feb 1931, and received a 5 yr sentence. Her defense was that he had threatened her life. Trial testimony showed that there had been trouble between them previously.
