Doris Malaer, 81, of Port Lavaca passed away January 26, 2025. She was born October 12, 1943 in Edna, Texas to Oscar and Katherine Brown. She is survived by her husband, Albert Malaer; sons, Mark Malaer (Terri), Gary Malaer (Debbie); sisters, Diana Michalik (Charlie), Gloria Benner (Ronnie); brothers, Homer Brown (Cheryl); sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Brown, Kay Brown; grandchildren, Christine Malaer, Cody Malaer, Kyle Malaer (Hannah), Brittany Malaer, Taylor Malaer, and great-grandchildren, Wrenley and Oakley Malaer. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Brown; and brothers, Kenneth, Ralph and Leslie Brown. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Six Mile Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center at mdanderson.org/gifts
