Bio

Katherine E. Brown, 63, of Port Lavaca, died Thursday in Port Lavaca. She was born in Victoria March 7, 1916. Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy Brown, Dianna Michalik and Gloria Benner both of Palacios, and Doris Maler, Point Comfort; four sons, Homer, Victora, Ralph and Kenneth of Palacios and Leslie of Point Comfort; two sisters, Belle Dufner, El Campo and Mattie Nelson of Alabama; two brothers, Ernest Lenz, Palacios and Arthur Lenz of Oklahoma and 13 grandchildren. Services were held 10 a.m. Saturday in the Palacios Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. R. Gwin officiating. Interment was in the Hawley Cemetery, under the direction of Taylor Bros.
